How to Save with the Lane Bryant Credit Card
Shopping for clothes can either be fun – or a complete nightmare. Trying on different sizes, deciding if something works with the rest of your wardrobe – it’s not as fun as rom coms make it out to be. And when you wear plus-size clothes, finding cute and affordable clothes is often even harder.
To simplify the process, you can sign up for a rewards credit card at one of your favorite plus-size stores. For Lane Bryant customers, the Lane Bryant Credit Card is one way to earn more rewards and save on your purchases. Read below to learn more about the ins and outs of the Lane Bryant Credit Card.
The Scoop on the Lane Bryant Credit Card
The Lane Bryant Credit Card is a store-specific credit card that lets return customers earn extra rewards and perks.
If you’re approved for the card, you’ll receive a $20 off coupon that can only be used the first day you’re approved. This coupon can be used at both LaneBryant.com and Lane Bryant brick-and-mortar stores.
You must spend at least $20.01 at LaneBryant.com to qualify, but there is no minimum spend at the brick-and-mortar stores. However, if you spend less than $20, you’ll relinquish the rest of the coupon.
When signing up for the card, make sure you’re already a member of the Lane Bryant rewards program. You can join here. If you’re not a member, you won’t receive most of the associated perks and benefits. You should also double-check that your birthdate is listed on your profile, so you’ll qualify for their special birthday offer.
You’ll also get free shipping on orders of $75 or more if you’re a Gold or Silver rewards member. However, if you’re a Platinum member, you’ll get free shipping with no minimum spend.
You’ll earn an extra five points – 15 points total – for every dollar spent on qualifying purchases at LaneBryant.com or at Lane Bryant stores when using your card (normal rewards members only earn 10 points per dollar spent). There are also other ways to earn extra points, like referring a friend, signing up for text notifications and more.
For every 3,000 points, you’ll receive a $10 reward. While there is no annual fee, there is a fee, either $2.99 or $3.50, if you choose to get paper statements. There is also a $41 fee for late payments or returned payments.

Before You Apply for the Lane Bryant Card… Some Potential Drawbacks to Consider
High APR. The Lane Bryant credit card currently has a 35.99% APR, which is high even compared to other store credit cards. If you use this card, make sure to always pay your statement balance in full to avoid high interest charges.
Can’t use it at non-Lane Bryant stores. Many stores offer two types of branded credit cards: a basic card you can only use with the specific retailer and a more general one that you can use at almost all retailers. But Lane Bryant only offers the first type of credit card. This means you’ll still need to use another credit or debit card at other retailers.
Few special perks. If you’re already a Lane Bryant rewards member, there’s not much more you’ll get if you sign up for this credit card. The main difference is that you’ll earn 15 points for each dollar spent at Lane Bryant – compared to 10 points if you don’t have the card. However, if you’re only an occasional Lane Bryant customer, you probably don’t need to sign up for the card. Just make sure you’re a rewards member (which is free to join).
When can I start using the card?
You can start using the card as soon as you’re approved. In fact, if you use the card as soon as you’re approved, then you’ll get a $20 off coupon.
Alternatives to the Lane Bryant Credit Card
Torrid Credit Card. For plus-size customers who want a rewards credit card, the Torrid Credit Card can be a good alternative to the Lane Bryant Credit Card.
Torrid’s credit card offers 5% off bras, jeans and other items that change every quarter. This is a huge perk that isn’t available with Lane Bryant’s credit card. Like the Lane Bryant Credit Card, there is no annual fee. You can also get a 40% off coupon when you first open the Torrid Credit Card. This may be worth more or less than the $20 off coupon you’ll get with the Lane Bryant Credit Card, depending on your purchases.
Target Red Card. Target has a wide selection of plus-size clothing options, especially on their website. If you have a Target Credit Card, you’ll save 5% off every purchase – not just on clothes and accessories. Plus, you’ll also get free two-day shipping on all orders if you have a Target credit card – usually with no minimum spend. This is a much better shipping offer than what the Lane Bryant Credit Card offers.
Plus, the APR on the Target Credit Card and the Target Mastercard is lower than what Lane Bryant offers. None of the Target Credit Cards charge an annual fee, just like the Lane Bryant Credit Card.
Another major perk is that the Target Mastercard can be used outside of Target stores or Target.com, unlike the Lane Bryant Credit Card. If you want a one-stop-shop card, then you’re better off with the Target Mastercard.
